The news broke on March 28 that Fortress Control was going to be replaced with Expo Control. The new map offers a ton of corners to hide around as well as spots to camp and pick off enemies across the map.

Call of Duty League fans anxiously wait to see a competitive match on the new map, and they got it on the first day of Challengers Elite Stage 3. In the CDC North America 2023 Elite Stage 3, Decimate Gaming took on Wee Woo. A match that highlights plenty of talented Challengers players.

On Decimate Gaming, Javier "Vikul" Milagro is the big name on the team, who was most recently a part of the Florida Mutineers roster. But he struggled on the new CoD map. He went 12k/20d, dealing just 1482 in damage and struggled to stay on the point.

Wee Woo looked like they were very comfortable with the new map. Led by Hamza "Hamza" Shaikh, who had 20 non-traded kills, with ten kills coming on the objective.

One of the concerns of adding Expo to the map rotation was the amount of time teams have had to scrim on it. Sam "Octane" Larew was one Call of Duty player who was very vocal about how frustrated he was with the lack of scrim time after quickly adding Expo Control to the rotation.

Decimate Gaming has a team full of potential future CDL players, and while their first competitive match on the new map didn't go their way, they still can be a team that makes a deep run in the Elite Stage 3.

But for Wee Woo, they can hang their hat on the fact they just dominated the first ever competitive map on the new map, Expo Control.
